How to cite Humanity Centered Data
Cite the compilation and the original source
Credit Humanity Centered Data for compiling and presenting the observations. For every figure you use, also cite the original agency, named dataset, source URL and source reference date shown beside that figure. A citation to this platform does not replace a citation to UNHCR, IOM DTM, IDMC or another original publisher.
Prefer an immutable release
Choose a monthly version from research downloads and record its version, release date and URL. Use the โCite thisโ control for APA, Chicago, BibTeX or RIS. The live registry is explicitly unversioned, so record your access date and retain the downloaded file.
Reference date is not access date
The reference date is when the original source says its observation applies. The retrieval timestamp records when we obtained it. Your access date is when you consulted this site. Do not substitute one for another.
License and persistent identifiers
Our compilation is CC BY 4.0. Attribute the compilation, link the license and identify changes. Upstream licenses still apply, including redistribution restrictions.
DOI: Not assigned. A DOI will be added after a release is deposited on Zenodo.
